Recently, I start my PostDoc at DTU Compute (Technical University of Denmark, Department of Applied Mathematics & Computer Science) in division of Image Analysis & Computer Graphics. My research is funded by a big European project, DataBio, in order to develop change detection methods for big satellite data.

Environmental and climate processes occur over large space-time domains. Their complexity and the amount of available data make the modeling and analysis a challenging task. This calls for expertise of a statistician. The overall goal of my project was to improve models of vegetation/land-cover using statistical models and spatial statistics methods. This leads to better analysis of human impact, improvement of climate models and better prediction of future changes.Read more about Behnaz's research
I started to play Badminton since I was 4 years old. The biggest reason for that is my mom, Hamideh Motahari, my heroine, she was the best Badminton player of Iran for more than 15 years! and continued as Iran national coach afterwards. I won my first international tournament when I was 15. I had been Iran #1 for more than 8 years in a row without any lost. I participated in world championship and Asian games. Since 2010, I am representing Sweden in International competitions, my goal is to qualify for Olympics games.Read more about Behnaz's sport life
